Green Tree was the first home opened by Big Tree and we wanted to get it right. Getting the right people in to share that vision has been key. ​Christopher Bishop is our Home Manager. Christopher has over 14 years experience of working in residential children's homes, This has embeded Christopher with wide ranging experience of supporting children and young people with complex and diverse needs and backgrounds. Christopher, before moving into residential care had experience in leadership and management and has extensively worked in homes that have been consistently good or outstanding. Green Tree prior to opening was completely renovated, this gave us a unique opportunity for the Responsible Individual and Home Manager to have input into the home renovation process to ensure it provides a nurturing environment for our children and young people. Green Tree has four bedrooms, each bedroom provides a comfortable relaxing private space for our children and young people with each room having its own ensuite bathroom and shower. The downstairs, open plan lounge and kitchen creates a open space that encourages socialisation. The home also has a separate private space that children and young people can use for time away, education or to meet with family. The garden is a wrap around space that is a mixture of astro turf and paved areas which provides an excelent area to enjoy outsidoor activities.
